Heavily revised version of the first edition of 1933. The first edition to carry the author's name, and with the third [and final] the text. In an unpublished note Williamson says 'I have rewritten the Revised Edition; it is the best so far, with new scenes to replace much of the 'old acid' of Manfred (and his appalling rudeness to his wife in the early Chapters)'.
