Diamond who had resigned from the Socialist Party five years earlier discusses the convention of the SP's youth branch to which the LSL had been invited to send a delegate. He reports that YPSL was chafing under the control of the SP. Mentions attending a talk by Max Shachtman in the evening. Expresses surprise at the substantial improvement in quality of members and of organization as compared to earlier YPSL gatherings.
