Bella legatura settecentesca in piena pergamena con unghiature, tagli spruzzati, al dorso titolo manoscritto quasi interamente sbiadito e due tasselli in carta, di cui uno della Biblioteca del Collegio Universitario Antonianum di Padova, tagli spruzzati, bei fogli di guardia marmorizzati, al fondo de volume 18 carte di Indice. La prima edizione francese fu data alle stampe nel 1690 (Graesse, VI, 135), l'abate Thiers in quest'opera si poneva come obiettivo la denuncia e la condanna dei vezzi di stile che imperversavano tra il Clero e la società borghese dell'epoca. Molto interessante la parte più spiccatamente storica che ripercorre puntualmente la storia della parrucca. Timbro del Collegio al frontespizio, timbri al margine superiore delle prime 4 carte, firma di appartenenza e una postilla manoscritta alla prima carta bianca. Bell'esemplare.
Legatura coeva in cartoncino con unghiature, titolo manoscritto al dorso e al taglio inferiore, piccolo timbro all'occhietto, lievi fioriture alle prime carte, esemplare mutilo delle ultime due pagine della "Tavola e indice delle cose notabili della Parte Seconda" (Graesse, I, 514). In buono stato.
