Number 2 in the Taiwan series published by the Committee. Hangchun County is a historical county around what is now the Southern Taiwanese county of Pingtung. The Chronicle was originally compiled in 1894 by Chen Wenwei the magistrate of that country but its publication was interrupted with the Japanese occupation of Taiwan and was not published until 1951 when it was rediscovered in a cache of documents held by the Academia Sinica.
