Each vibrant and handsome chromolithograph depicts a group of soldiers in full uniform in army settings. Some soldiers are on horseback. These plates were engraved by G.H. Buek & Co. of New York after paintings by Henry Alexander Odgen. The black and white plates depict helmets caps badges sword belts epaulettes and other accessories.
