Numerous pages of commercial advertisements, mostly illustrated, some in colour. Original wrappers, cover lettered in red, gold relief, bit browned, foot of spine chipped, cover illustration has been removed. In fine internal condition. ~ Published to coincide with the exhibition held in July 1956. Nice illustrations, historical and contemporary, as well as a source of authentic commercial advertisements.

The guidons, colours, standards, and flags of the German Imperial Army. This particular copy comes from the bequest of renowned uniform historian and researcher Dr. Pieter Roelse and includes, loosely inserted, a number of newspaper and magazine clips and photographs related to the book's subject, some of which are uncommon.

Original chromolithographic poster printed on waxed paper, overall size 47x33 cm., folded. Unobtrusive contemporary signature at top right corner, else in fine condition. ~ Very rare original poster of unidentified origin and provenance. It is beautifully printed in chromolithography and depicts in total 11 uniformed figures of the French army. These include Infantry man, Hunter, Hussar, Dragoon, Cuirassier, Artillerist, Combat Engineer, etc. Furthermore, the poster shows 8 images of cuff insignia and 10 images of command flags. Each of the 29 images is captioned on the stone in Dutch.
