Buek & Co. of New York after paintings by Henry Alexander Odgen. The black and white plates depict helmets caps badges sword belts epaulettes and other accessories. In a very good condition, rather fine plates. ~ First edition. Very rare original album, complete with all the wonderful plates. One bibliographical source (RHC Groninger Archieven) quotes publication period that lasted two years, from 1914 until 1915.

In a very good condition. ~ First edition of this rare series. One of the earliest Player's card series, (ca. 1910). The beautifull cards were printed in chromolithography, a process which yielded a much more delicate result than later, mechanical processes. Complete series of this work, comprising of unused, unglued cards which are preserved entirely in the original state, are very scarce.

Numerous pages of commercial advertisements, mostly illustrated, some in colour. Original wrappers, cover lettered in red, gold relief, bit browned, foot of spine chipped, cover illustration has been removed. In fine internal condition. ~ Published to coincide with the exhibition held in July 1956. Nice illustrations, historical and contemporary, as well as a source of authentic commercial advertisements.

The guidons, colours, standards, and flags of the German Imperial Army. This particular copy comes from the bequest of renowned uniform historian and researcher Dr. Pieter Roelse and includes, loosely inserted, a number of newspaper and magazine clips and photographs related to the book's subject, some of which are uncommon.
