The handsome plates depict 58 monochromatic illustrations of medals and campaign badges; and 25 coloured illustrations of ribbons. The last are particularly handsome, being first printed in halftone with the colours later superimposed from different blocks.

First edition of this uncommon Great Depression-era catalogue documenting the uniforms for theatre band hotel club and apartment workers in the years before World War II. At one time Jacob Reed’s Sons was the oldest uniform manufacturing firm in the U.S. and focused on providing tailored uniforms with colourful fabrics which held their shape with heavy use. Fitted theatre & hotel jackets in white with double rows of buttons theatre usher uniforms in brown & maroon and some provided in a blue-gray West Point braided blouse to provide extra authority.
