A touch of watercolor and a couple of coats of leather dressing would make this set stand out with the single uncorrectable flaw being raggedness to top rims of all three parts. Pagination runs 503 515 544 all volumes illustrated with fullpage tissue-guarded steel-engraved portraits of ugly public servants. Clean and unmarked throughout. As said casings are physically quite sound pace the scraping to all joints which are of either morocco or pressed calf in either case of poorly-prepared animal hide and to top rims where losses average one-eighth of an inch.
