The sale consisted of several collections of antique 'papiers peints' or painted wallpapers and painted textiles. Lots 1 through 85 are from the Collection de la Maison Maigret, 114 lots in the Collection Vital-Durand from Lyon. The themes of the painted papers range from still lifes with floral motifs, neo-classical architectural decorations, some figures from myth, like Cupid and Psyche, Le Jardin d'Armide painted by Edouard Muller.
