Good text pgs & plates tanned/darkened at edges w/ foxing chips & tears; instances of smudges marks & scuffs. a few plates are torn & wrinkled w/ repair & remounting few instances of dampstaining. 71 loose chromolithographic and two-color plates w/ accompanying descriptive leaves. A majority of the plates will have descriptive leaves. Plates and descriptive leaves are hand-numbered in pencil to upper right corners--with some pencil numbering to acutal plate. Plate numbering is chronolgoical with many gaps/missing. Plates were numbered by previous bookseller; plates were kept in original porfolios but we have discarded the portfolios due to excessive damage. Plates have been organized into four ordered stacks: France Moyen Ages Various European Ages and Angleterre Numbered 201 through 246 with a total of 25 plates; Europe XVVII Et XVII Siecle Angleterre XVIII Various France XVIII Costumes And Objects Europe Utensils and Militaria Numbered 374 through 400 with total of 13 plates; France XIII Siecle Costumes France Costumes Suede Et Norvege Ecosse Hollande Various Costumes And Interiors Numbered 401 through 439 with a total of 16 plates; Pologne Various Costumes Europe Fine Jewelry Turquie Costumes Orient Italie Various Costumes Espange Various Costumes Numbered 451 through 474 for a total of 18 plates.
