This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Milwaukee Art Museum in the spring and summer of 1982. Curated by Marily Kroening, the catalog explores the complex history of the American silversmith's apprenticeship system. Most major designers and makers represented. Selected bibliography. 96 works in the exhibition. Many illustrated in black & white. 11" high X 8" wide, 51 pages.
