Grundriss der Neuislandischen Grammatik 1881. A commentary on New Icelandic grammar and developments in the language by William Henry Carpenter an American philologist and provost for Columbia University. Bound in half crushed morocco with cloth covered boards. Externally worn with rubbing and light loss to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd mark to the boards. Front hinge starting but firm. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright with light age toning to the extremities and the odd small spot or handling mark. Wilde went on to become one of Hollywood's legendary script supervisors working well into the 1980s sometimes under the name Meta Rebner with an impressive string of credits including TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD THE GRADUATE IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT SHAMPOO and TERMS OF ENDEARMENT.
