Volume in 8°, brossura editoriale, antiporta illustrato con la riproduzione del famoso dipinto "The chocolate girl" di Liotard, frontespizio, sommario, note bibliografiche, IX, 165 pp. Un ottimo lavoro, molto curato, a partire dalla precisione della bibliografia citata, continuando con una miniera di interessanti notizie sulla storia della produzione e dell'uso del Cacao, dove e come viene coltivato, le varie proprietà delle diverse parti del frutto e suoi prodotti, sua purezza e qualità curative, per arrivare all'argomento più gustoso, una sessantina di ricette con cacao e cioccolata protagonisti. Qualche lieve menda alla brossura, interno allo stato di nuovo. Curioso e molto poco comune.
