Il sottotitolo recita: "Note sulle sparizioni, le perdite di senso, le difficoltà di trasmissione, le dimenticanze, le mancanze e le persistenze inutili". Testo di Pierre Alechinsky (in francese). "Sopravvivenze" fotografate da Suzy Embo. Figurine di mollica di pane modellate da Reinhoud. Briciole ornamentali disegnate da René Bertholo. È un suggestivo collage di fotografie, testi e poesie sui temi della memoria, del ricordo, del senso e dell'arte. Pierre Alechinsky (Bruxelles, 19 ottobre 1927) è un pittore, scultore e incisore belga. Studia illustrazione di libri e tipografia, ma dipinge anche in uno stile appartenente a quel movimento post-cubista che poi modificherà sino ad arrivare a somigliare più al suo connazionale James Ensor. This copy includes pages 11 through 160 so is missing the first few pages plus title page, etc. It appears that a page or more are missing from the end as well. Very heavily worn and soiled. Despite these glaring defects, this very old reader remains an absolute treat to hold as you imagine the many generations which have benefitted from it for over a century and a half. Possibly a first edition but we are describing this copy as a reprint until we can prove otherwise. Book
