Signed in blue ink by the seventeen year old "Sal Mineo" and also by his mother "Josephine Mineo". Many of his youthful roles were variations of his role in "Rebel Without a Cause" and he often played juvenile delinquents. unknown

"Permit me to call to your attention the fact that Salt Lake City is a geographical center of importance to investors as well as tourists. From Denver on the east to San Francisco on the west - a distance of about1500 miles - there is no great distributing point but Salt Lake City. 187374327Salt Lake City: N.p. 1873. ALS on Salt Lake House letterhead dated to March 24th 1873. Letter was written to Olive from her affectionate husband Andrew M. Letter has light toning at mailing folds and a " hole affecting content. This letter contains around 10 lines about the Salt Lake Tabernacle which the writer visited and states "I was much surprised with the great magnitude of the building it is capable of holding 14 thousand people and is I think the largest building in America. It is kept in fine order and has the largest organ on this ." The Tabernacle was completed in 1867 and is still considered an architectural wonder. N.p. unknown

Bluck supervised by Robert Havell after Salt on thick Whatman paper watermarked 1806 mounted on guards and interleaved throughout these watermarked 'Ruse & Turners 1805' contemporary half morocco rebacked and recornered large morocco lettering piece to upper cover light scratches to boards very good.<br /> A fresh clean copy of the set of Salt's very fine large format views of India Abyssinia Egypt and elsewhere.<br /><br />Salt visited the Cape India and the Red Sea. In Calcutta the party was entertained by the Governor-General Lord Wellesley the dedicatee of the present work and then travelled to Benares Lucknow Ceylon and Madras. Salt then explored the Red Sea returned to Bombay and Poona to the Red Sea again before making an extensive excursion into the Abyssinian highlands here represented by six views. Contemporary advertisements make clear that the work was designed to be similar in size and presentation to the plates of Thomas and William Daniell's great work Oriental Scenery 1795-1808: the undoubted artistry of Salt and his engravers has ensured that this work is a worthy successor. A quarto text volume with the same title was published by Miller in the same year.<br /> Abbey Travel 515; Bobins 112; Tooley 440 the text 'is not important and the work is usually to be found without it'. Printed privately for the Duchess of Sutherland for use only in the Church of S. Mary and All Saints Trentham. Trentham was the seat of the Dukes of Sutherland. This copy inscribed and signed by the Duchess to the Reverend Thurston Rivington dated November 5 1896 on blank preliminary leaf. Millicent 4th Duchess of Sutherland 1867-1955 was sometimes nicknamed 'Meddlesome Millie'. She was a well known social reformer involved in several local causes the most notable being her campaign to eliminate the use of poisonous lead in the glazing process in the pottery industry. During the First World War she established a Red Cross Hospital The Millicent Sutherland Ambulance in Belgium and France. G. T. Bagguley is today best known for his 'Sutherland tooling process' by which colour tooling was executed on vellum which he mainly used on books bound for the Duchess of Sutherland. privately printed unknown
