After suffering a serious injury she meets Smithfield "Smitty" Cobb Melvyn Douglas who helps her find the men her husband saved though he does not tell her he is one of them. Parr's handwriting is the stuff of legend he received a flogging at Harrow because of it and never reformed and the present item is largely illegible with the following readings tentative: 'Dr Sir - I can send you <.> my heart is deeply <.> my dear child <.> utterly incapable of <.> exertion <.> will strive to perform <.> sacred duty - God bless you <.> to your Family & especially Richard - <.>'. Twining's son the younger Richard Twining had studied under Parr at his grammar school in Norwich. 27 May [1807]. unknown
