L'évêque de Reims, bien connu pour sa fougue antijanséniste, s'adresse non seulement à ses pairs mais aussi aux cardinaux pour leur rappeler toute l'intransigeance qu'il faut maintenir contre les Novateurs (jansénistes). Ce combat lui vaudra de rejoindre lui-même le cardinalat.

Dust jacket not price clipped or marked, torn or creased with a little rubbing to bottom of spine. 307pp. The author follows a route from Boulogne by way of Reims, Colmar, Lucerne, the St Gotthard Pass, Milan, Lake Maggiore, Cremona, Ravenna, Florence and finally Rome where he continues his tour.
