Large oversize softcover signed and dated by legendary photographer Mary Ellen Mark on the half-title in the year of publication. No indication of printing. A good plus copy with all wear being external - the deep blue covers have some scuffing and there is minor bending at the corners and wear to the cover edges. . A sticker to the front cover is printed "Islensku Bokmennta Verdlaunin Tilnefnina" indicating the book's nomination for an Icelandic award but also in hand writing on the sticker is "recommendation for book price." Interior is clean and unmarked other than the photographer's autograph. These plates are from Thomas Birch's "The Heads of Illustrious Persons of Great Britain" 1743-1751. Fine condition nicely matted and presented in rather plain wooden frames.
