Purplish-pink foil on one side and white on the other printed in black folded twice to form a 5½" x 4¼" pamphlet with two illustrations. Near fine with crease to lower right corner and light edgewear. An original program to Salvador Dalí's first solo New York exhibition held at the Julien Levy Gallery from November 21 to December 8 1933. The announcement includes a list of the 26 paintings on exhibit and includes two illustrations; one of those being Dali's iconic painting The Persistence of Memory which debuted only the year before at Levy's Surrealist Exposition alongside other notable artist such as Max Ernst and Marcel Duchamp. Dali would embrace New York over the next decade staging a series of shows and attracting enormous attention with his works and outrageous persona cementing his place as one of the world's most influential artist of the 20th Century. The original wrappers for the book were designed especially for the first 230 'exemplaires de luxe' of the book, were executed after the maquette by Pierre Faucheux after Tanguy's original drawing.
