About very good; light wear and soil to wrappers; text evenly toned due to stock. Rare first and only edition of Salvador Dalí's illustrations for this communist publication by Jaume Miravitlles chairman of the Communist Workers' and Peasants' Bloc BOC. Since his studies in engineering the young Catalan was committed to the independence of his home region from Spain. After being threatened with a prison sentence for distributing leaflets he fled to Paris where he completed his studies and began to move in the circle of the Surrealists. Together with Dalí he appeared as an actor in Luis Buñuel's film "Un perro andaluz" in which he played a clergyman sitting at the piano alongside his eccentric countryman. He also had a role in "La edad de oro". After his return he joined the Catalan Communist Party. During the Civil War he served as a propaganda officer for the Generalitat de Catalunya.

As of March 2025 KVK and OCLC do not list any copy worldwide. unknown
