In der Platte signiert und auf 1865 datiert mit französischem Text "Peint et gravé par Manet 1865" und dem Namen der Druckerei "Imp. A. Salmon". Manet schuf mehrere Porträts seines engen Freundes Baudelaire hier liegt das weniger bekannte und seltenere ohne Hut vor. Druck auf leichtem Maschinenbütten ohne Wasserzeichen. Der Abdruck ist für uns nicht zu datieren. Es könnte sich aber um einen Sonder-Abdruck oder Neu-Abdruck von Harris 61 handeln der ursprünglich der Buchausgabe "Charles Baudelaire. Sa vie et son oeuvre" von Charles Asselineau Paris 1869 als Original-Radierung beigebunden war. Eine wichtige Radierung eines der bedeutendsten französischen Impressionisten! Washington to study at Tuskegee Institute under George Washington Carver and graduated in 1913; she later studied at the Chicago College of Music and the Chicago Art Institute. She was founder and president of the Texas chapter of the National Association of Negro Musicians. In 1928 she founded the Mwalimu School for Development of African Music and Creative Art in Texas which later relocated to Harlem.
