Cataloged by Ferand Mourlot. After his Cubist engravings he began to work on rich lithographs balancing the paper's density and color. It has been said that Braque wants to describe paper as pure intensity so this edition became his magnus opus. Bound in stiff lithographic paper wraps original glassine wrapper with a few chips and a clear tape mend to upper corner of glassine housed in publishers slipcase with some edge wear. A superb copy. Rosenberg had lured Braque away from Daniel Henry Kahnweiler and his brother Léonce in 1922. Braque's first solo exhibition at Paul Rosenberg's famed gallery on 21 rue la Boëtie took place in 1924.
