The periodical first published by L'Association Abstraction-Création in 1935 formalized a loose association of artists formed in Paris in 1931 primarily in opposition to André Breton and the Surrealist group. The first issue stated that artists whose work contained recognizable images were not invited to join excluding Giacometti despite his presence at some of the earliest meetings in 1931. 5 vols quarto. Text in French. Original cream wrappers titles to front in black red green purple and blue respectively.
