The judgment which resulted in the sale of the Marmion was brought by Robert P. Clark H.F. Given & Co. John R. Hammond Jonas Newman Sarah Mason and the city of St. Louis against the steamboat. The Marmion built in 1835 plied the Mississippi River between St. Louis and New Orleans under Captain John Staley and was involved in a collision with another steamboat in 1841. Some faint old staining; splits chips and minor loss of a few letters archivally repaired deacidified lined with Japanese paper. <br/><br/> unknown books
