IV xvii 2 464 pages the final index volume has 2 104 pages; the volumes are comple te with all folding maps and plates as called for there are further engravings in the text. The books are bound in cloth with gilt devices and gilt page tops the bindings have some rubbing vols 2 and 4 have weak hinges and the rear hinge of vol. I is a touch weak; the text and plates are all well bound together. The pastedowns bear the bookplates of the Foyle library Beeleigh and an owner's inscription. There is some edge foxing throughout the volumes and some slight browning some of the pl hardcover
