This remarkable collaboration pairs the manuscript verses of Lise Hirtz the early pseudonym of surrealist writer Lise Deharme with eight vibrant pochoirs by Miró based on his gouaches and expertly printed via stencil. Limited to 300 copies this is one of 280 on Arches paper N. 276 complete with eight color illustrations and the author's facsimile text bound in its original soft covers and presented in a protective cloth clamshell box. Issued in fragile soft wrappers now showing expected splitting at a few inner folds and minor edge tears to the front wrar. The text and pochoir illustrations are in very good condition. A pivotal work bridging avant-garde literature and visual art at a crucial moment in both Miró's and Hirtz's careers this edition exemplifies the poetic and experimental spirit of late-1920s Paris. He also offered him his old friend Joan Miró who could illustrate his poems with whom Gérald Cramer immediately made contact.
