This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts in Taiwan in the summer of 2001. Book had very bright red covers in excellent condition with little to no wear, prev. owner's name on front end paper with a small stain that has soaked through to the next page. Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, exterior shows no blemishes, text/interior is otherwise clean and free of marking of any kind. Dust jacket has small open tears, edge wear. 225 pages with 181 illustrations -- mostly prints, many large -- in b&w on heavy, glossy paper. Chapters include: Rembrandt and the High Renaissance, the Monumental tradition, the Venetians, the Quattrocento, the 1656 inventory of Rembrandt's posessions.
