Degas did many monotypes "and in many cases he applied pastel over the ghost version to create a finished piece." <br/><br/>Charles Hobson's own masterful pastel and photogravures of the female nude having a self-proclaimed "lifelong influence" by Degas are given a loving home beside Degas' words.
