Edgar Degas 1834-1917 has long been considered one of the greatest of the French impressionists especially concerning the female body in movement which is given a masterful homage in this intriguing volume. Degas did many monotypes "and in many cases he applied pastel over the ghost version to create a finished piece." <br/><br/>Charles Hobson's own masterful pastel and photogravures of the female nude having a self-proclaimed "lifelong influence" by Degas are given a loving home beside Degas' words.
