The endpapers are where this book gets interesting. The front flyleaf verso contains an undated signature and address of a former owner a woman named Christiana Rademacher. Beneath her signature is a three-stanza spiritual poem in her hand we presume her own composition. The first stanza reads 'Ich wil als mein eigenthum Jesu dich du schoenste blum in mein hers einpflanse' and appropriately a little purple flower was found pressed in the book impossible of course to tell if it was hers. Furthermore the signature of blank leaves inserted in the rear bear recipes and treatments written in several hands.
