The only flaw with this copy is that it lacks the final slipcase. We have included the broken parts of the slipcase which could be rebuilt - but it is best to describe this copy as lacking slipcase! Folder is clean and tidy with embossed titles to the spine. No significant wear. Inside the two volumes. First "La Voie Libre." This includes the text titles and limitations This copy is one of the 339 copies on vélin de Lana from a total limitation of 500 copies. Owner's signature to the front end paper. The fist volume includes 12 full page lithographed plates. Volume two is the "Croquis de Route" which is made up of the 41 black and white and coloured full page lithographs. A nice copy bar the slipcase. 96. 41 pages. 25cm x 19.5cm. . Première édition. Très bel exemplaire de cet ouvrage illustré numéroté et à tirage limité. Deux volumes dans une chemise en carton rigide. Le seul défaut de cet exemplaire est l'absence de l'étui final. Nous avons inclus les parties cassées de l'étui qui pourraient être reconstruites - mais il est préférable de décrire cet exemplaire comme étant dépourvu d'étui ! La chemise est propre et bien rangée avec des titres gaufrés au dos. Pas d'usure significative. A l'intérieur les deux volumes. Le premier "La Voie Libre". Nicely rebound in a simple period three quarter leather binding with green cloth boards and gilt titles. A little rubbing to the spine edges but the binding is sound. The original pink soft covers with a monkey vignette to the top are bound in. These are immaculate as protected by the leather binding. Following a fifteen page preface by Mac Orlan are the 25 wood cut designs. Each printed on the recto only in green black and white with a short text beneath. A lovely example of this work. iv xvi pp. 24 ff. The pink covers are repeated as the title page. 205 by 150mm 8 by 6 inches. . Première édition. Édition numérotée. L'un des 425 exemplaires sur vélin pur fil Lafuma. Joliment relié à neuf dans une reliure d'époque simple trois-quarts cuir avec des plats en toile verte et des titres dorés. Quelques légères traces d'usure sur les bords du dos mais la reliure est solide. Les couvertures souples roses d'origine ornées d'une vignette représentant un singe en haut ont été intégrées à la reliure. Elles sont en parfait état ayant été protégées par la reliure en cuir. Après une préface de quinze pages de Mac Orlan viennent les 25 gravures sur bois. Chacune est imprimée au recto uniquement en vert noir et blanc avec un court texte en dessous.
