At the time of publication Mucha was teaching his “Cours Mucha†at the New York Women’s School of Applied Design and at the Art Institute in Chicago. Henry Stikeman was one of the premier American fine binders from the 1880s through to World War I and during his heyday produced a stunningly large volume of high quality work.
