Schary based this play on his own experience working in the Hollywood studio system at MGM. It starred Ed Begley and Carol Ohmart and was meant to open at the Music Box Theatre in October 1962 but it never made it to Brodway closing after a series of regional test-runs. There is gnawing at the top page corner edge creating a tiny about 1/4" chip to the top corner of each page. Pages are lightly toned with sparse modest thumbing but overall in very good condition. This edition is a collection of 100 engravings illustrative of the bible but made for the American market in a smaller and less costly version as well as having a briefer analysis of each design.
