A BELLE EPOQUE CALENDAR WITH FULL-PAGE CHROMOLITHOGRAPH PLATES BY MANY OF THE LEADING ARTISTS OF THE PERIOD including Henri Boutet de Monvel Leon Lhermitte Caran d'Ache and Luc-Olivier Merson. La Belle Jardiniere was a chain of shops specializing in high-end sportswear for men women and children. The plates appropriately enough depict elegantly decked out people engaging in activities relevant to the month in question: Boutet de Monvel January depicts five impeccably-dressed children singing in the new year; Caran d'Ache October shows us a hunting scene; etc. 4to. 12 leaves printed rectos only tied together with two fine silk strings. IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION. A little faint marginal spotting to one plate else FINE AND BRIGHT.
