A fascinating work of genealogy in which Charles Edward Banks details the English ancestry of Henry Adams and J. Gardiner Bartlett provides information on his American descendants. Henry Adams was the English ancestor of two American presidents of the same surname. This work was compiled for the American businessman Edward Dean Adams 1846-1931 by J. Gardiner Bartlett 1872-1927 a prominent American genealogist who focused on New England and the English origins of colonial families. In a cloth binding. Externally very smart with just a little bumping to the extremities and a small label to the spine. Gilt remains bright. Internally firmly bound.
