A good copy only the binding firm with heaving rubbing to the boards with significant loss to the marbled paper rubbing to the joints and wear to the corners and edges of the boards. The contents with an area of abrasion to the front pastedown where a previous owner's bookplate has been removed some old damp-marking to the outer margin of the frontispiece and engraved title page and outer margin of the first 15 plates not touching the images themselves and that of the final 20 text pages and final 2 plates including the map and with the occasional odd spot of foxing or finger-marking elsewhere - the great majority of the plates however remain clean and in good order.
