This delightful collection of 14 poems by French novelist and poet Jean Rameau 1859-1942 is splendidly illustrated throughout with 28 duo-tone etchings 2 per poem by Ary Gambard. Rameau's love for his native region the Landes seems to have inspired many of the poems featured in this volume. One of 400 copies printed on Holland paper of which this is No. 147 of a general edition of 500 copies. Closed tears along portfolio's tail of spine. One-inch piece on head of spine missing. Offsetting along fore-edge of dust-jacket. Moderate and sporadic foxing along fore-edge of a few pages not affecting text or plates. Text in French.
