Small 4to; 160 1 pages; Contemporary green half morocco over marbed boards spine with raised bands gilt lettered title directly in the second panel gilt tooled decoration in the others marbled endpapers top edges gilt. Minor rubbing and light wear to the spine and corners. A tight pleasing copy of this noted first edition -- with the 20 full page lithographed plates after drawings by Gavarni -- Sulpice Guillaume Chevalier1804-1866 who became world famous as an artist working under the name: Paul Gavarni.
