56657Charles Ollier 1848. Good . better than a reading copy - but it is an ugly duckling even allowing for it advanced years. marble effect covers are worn to all edges and missing to corners - which are showing the boards beneath. spine and adjacent panel are leather but worn and split with rubs and discolouration points.First edition. inside the picture does not improve but the contents merit the cataloguing attention! the reverse of the front board shows Chelmsford ' institution marks part detached from the textblock and grubby with scribbles - only matched in appearance by the facing endpaper which is similarily brown and grubby with marks. title page and facing are grubby marked and generally unattractive. text is a bit better but obviously well read. the redeeming feature is that all pages of this important volume are present and bound in but would benefit from repair sooner than later. an uncommon title.
