19436032321943. Louis Icart in black fountain pen ink on his 6 rue Jadin letterhead Paris March 31 1943. 5 3/8 in x 7 in lettersheet with stamp postmark and address on the verso. Very good. Text is in French. Icart's letters are scarce. To Leon Deffoux at Journal L'Oeuvre Paris I'm not so confused as to have made a mistake since in short you think like Pierre Varenne! The pen may get the address wrong but not the heart! . In the end have you and I and all of those who love what we love not always stayed connected by that silken 'Thread of Ariadne' left in the wake of the radiant Juliette Drouet - To make it short: I won't take back my 'thank you' and I fondly shake your hand. Louis Icart. Louis Icart 1888-1950 French artist and illustrator master of the Art Deco movement best remembered for his fashion etchings many of them of an erotic nature. Signed by Authors. Soft cover. Very Good. paperback books
