There is a also a pencil-signed Jacomet-process reproduction of a drawing by Icart, and a Jacomet-process reproduction of a drawing by Victor Hugo. These three plates appear only in the 120 copies on Dutch paper. With a substantial signed presentation inscription from the author to celebrated Breton bibliophile NoÎl Cordon. 4to. Original wraps. This copy features the frontispiece portrait in four states; the five Icart etchings in four states (remarque state in black, remarque state in sanguine, final state in black, canceled plate); and the lettrines in two states. 4to. Exactly as issued, with the book bound in original wraps (original paper knife laid in) and the extra suites in a separate envelope, all housed in an attractive marbled slipcase.
