These are the frontispiece and ten engravings by Regnault from the 1796 edition of Montesquieu's Temple de Gnide. The engravings were etched by Bertaux and finished by De Ghendt Patas Halbou Baquoy Lingée Ponce and Le Barbier. Each etching measures 11 cm x 7 cm and is mounted on a 24 cm x 16 cm card. The portfolio measures 27 cm x 17 cm. The plates are in excellent condition with just a little handling and only a few small spots of foxing. The backing card is in good condition slightly darkened. The portfolio is clean and attractive but has a few marks to the interior and has been repaired with archival tape to the spine. . Ce portefeuille relié en cuir avec un motif mosaïqué doré et une étiquette en papier sur le premier plat et sur le dos contient 11 planches gravées.
