Abbé Outhier 1694-1774 ein typischer Polyhistor der französischen Aufklärung Kartographie Astronomie Geodäsie Mechanik und Mitglied mehrerer wissenschaftlichen Akademien nahm 1736–37 an der Expedition von Graf Pierre-Louis de Maupertuis nach Lappland teil. Die Expedition sollte im Auftrag der französischen Académie des Sciences eine genaue Gradmessung eines langen Meridianbogens vornehmen um aus den Unterschieden eine andere Gruppe unternahm identische Messungen in Ecuador und Peru im Krümmungsradius der Erde ihre Größe und Form zu bestimmen. Sein erstmals 1744 in Paris veröffentlichter Bericht bringt ausser der Zusammenfassung der wissenschaftlichen Ergebnisse auch diverse Beobachtungen über Land und Leute die während der teils unter extremen klimatischen Bedingungen durchgefürt werden musste. Die Tafeln zeigen ausser mehreren Karten Stadtplänen und Merkwürdigkeiten Skandinavien Stockholm Falun; astronom. She was educated at the Conservatory in Paris. Régnier was one of her teachers.In 1872 she started acting at the Vaudeville and in 1879 she was contracted by the Comédie Française where she became a sociétaire in 1880. In 1874 she gave birth to a son by an unknown father her son died in 1894. She was the star of the Comédie Française and played in tragedies as well as in comedies. Her nickname was 'la Divine'.In 1906 she was awarded the Légion d'honneur chevalier. In 1908 she performed in London for a season and in 1919 she left the stage. In 1920 she became Officier de la Légion d'honneur. She died late in 1941. It is possible that she was born in 1851 instead of 1854.The recipient of the letters is:Mme.
