Galanis is an examination of the 3000 years of residential and 2000 years of ecclesiastical history of the city the important cultural centre of Asia Minor. Through its long history Perge succumbed to many conquerors. The era of Alexander the Great proved to be of particular importance for its history and the same holds true for the Hellenistic the Roman and the Byzantine periods. Its monuments brought to light by the archaeological excavations are of great beauty and archaeological importance and testify to its long history.
