In 1958 he married Barbara Boyd 1929-2015 the china buyer for Neiman-Marcus of Dallas Texas. Together they wrote a Wedgwood family history titled The Wedgwood Circle:1795-1901. It is possible that Lord Hesketh was interested in the Hesketh Plot which is examined in one of Devlin's essays. A collection of nine essays by Christopher Devlin with the overall theme of life in England during the reign of Elizabeth I and the struggles of the Catholic minority to restore their faith among the people. These essays with an introduction by C. V. Wedgwood cover the Gunpowder Plot Shakespeare's faith as well as that of his character Hamlet and the Hesketh Plot among other historic events and people. In the publisher's original decorative paper boards. Externally lovely and bright. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
