Cette estampe n'est pas référencée par Béraldi, et n'apparaît pas au catalogue Tissot, ni à sa vente, mais est décrit au catalogue de l'exposition de Paris (Petit Palais, 1985), comme étant connu à 4 exemplaires seulement. Sir Leslie Ward 1851-1922 English caricaturist and portrait painter signed his works 'Spy.' Sir Peter Henry Edlin 1819-1903 was chairman of the County of London Sessions. No date of publication but the original daguerreotype was made in 1855. Evans was involved in several battles of the War of 1812 and the Napoleonic Wars; he later served in Parliament where he worked for reform in the British army.
