The Belgian response aimed to refute three distinct charges which were levelled against them by their German aggressors including: a that the Belgian civil population opposed an irregular armed opposition to the German forces and inflicted horrible injuries on German wounded" b "The Belgian government not only failed to do anything to prevent the "people's war" Volkskrieg in contravention of international law but even secretly encouraged and supported it c "The Beglian Commission of Inquiry published libels on the German armies." The letterhead includes fourteen endorsements from newspapers in the left-hand margin with Pike described as 'Author of the Birdland Books. 100000 copies sold.' Although bearing a genuine signature the letter may be a circular. Pike is enclosing 'a copy of my Lecture Prospectus for next season' not present. He goes on to discuss his 'new Lecture entitled: - "BIRDLAND CAMEOS"' before concluding: 'If your Society should decide to engage me I can promise them a thoroughly interesting evening.' This is a television documentary camera run sheet or shot list produced for coverage of the 1973 visit of the Guangzhou Acrobatic Troupe. The document features a handwritten table outlining the planned shot sequence. Its columns specify shot numbers camera shot size i.e. close up wide angle etc. shot description footage and voice-over narration. This primary source document illustrates the mechanics of China's cultural diplomacy during the 1970s. Meticulous effort went into documenting and controlling the narrative of what was a significant international tour for domestic and international audiences. . unknown
