In filigrana appare, secondo il manifestino, la situazione simile in Italia, dove il governo De Gasperi potrebbe tentare di “vietare ‘Roma città aperta’ come Truman ha vietato ‘Furore’ di Ford e vieta ‘Duello al sole’ di King Vidor”. 4 leaves, 28 cm, propaganda flyer printed by the Italian Popular Democratic Front, that is the list that united the Communist Party of Togliatti and the Socialist Party of Nenni. In particular, this flyer stigmatizes the famous witch hunt organized by the Truman administration against anyone suspected of sympathizing with communism and consequently branded as anti-American, even in the world of cinema. Mention is made of the trial that took place against some of the most well-known actors and actresses of the star-system, such as Kathryn Hepburn, Lauren Bacall and Erroll Flynn, to name but a few. The accusations, true or alleged, often based on unfounded allegations, were often translated into the impossibility for some to be able to continue working: director Edward Dmytryk will have to leave the US and emigrate to Europe. According to the leaflet, the similar situation might happen in Italy, where the De Gasperi government could try to "ban 'Roma città aperta' as Truman had banned Ford's 'The Grapes of Wrath' as well as King Vidor's 'Duel in the sun'".
