Very Good Turkish Original 2 b/w photographs. (14 x 9 cm). In Turkish descriptive hand-written texts on verso of photos. Photographs shows Nurettin Aynnuksa and his wife in a crowded farewell gathering to Balikesir city. Photos should be taken when Aynuksa was a Balikesir governor. In those 2 photos, a social life, fashion of its period, and cars can be seen.

Huang Rui, Ma Deshang and others organized the first 'Stars Exhibition' on September 27, 1979 on the grounds of the National Art Museum of China. The exhibition was promptly banned and the artists began protesting this action and calling for 'Political democracy, artistic freedom'. After this the artists of the Stars Group all went into exile abroad. Huang Rui lived for 10 years in Japan, only returning to China in 2002. 11" high X 8" wide, 177 pages.
Very Good Turkish Original b/w photograph. (12 x 19 cm). Ava Gardner, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Glen Ford and others with Orhan Boran in Tarabya Hotel. Taken by one of the earliest paparazzi and photographer of high society, Foto Rüstü Özlen. Dated 06.23.1955. Orhan Boran was a Turkish radio and TV host and actor. He was also widely known for his laudable usage of the Turkish language.

Nice copy of the seventh edition. Inked ownership of Robert Bridges (1865-1930), while a student at Princeton. Robert Bridges was long a figure of note and power in the American literary world, and often confused with the British Poet Laureate of the same name. Born at Shippensburg, PA he went to Princeton, where he met his best friend through life and classmate, Woodrow Wilson. Bridges was successful as a newspaper reporter, 1880-1887, the literary critic of Life, 1883-1900, the assistant editor and editor of Scribner's Magazine, 1887-1930. He published occasional prose and verse, but his greatest influence is the particular interest he took in the young authors, notably Booth Tarkington. SCIENCE BOX 2. **PRICE JUST REDUCED!
This is a very good hardcover copy in a very good but sunned dustjacket. The jacket is white with mauve spine and right edges. The mauve parts are sunned at the top. SIGNED by Cornell Lucas in ink and dated 1988 on the half title-page under the photograph of Marlene Dietrich and the title. Not inscribed to anyone, just signed. Illustrated throughout in black & white with Cornell Lucas's photographs of film stars, both actors and directors. Each of the portraits is accompanied by a brief comment on the individual and the photo session. Uncommon. Scarce signed. 11" high X 9" wide, 125 pages.
